*It's A Superhero Thing*

Ok So I am soooo behind with this update considering I am already working on the next party but last year we combined the boys' birthday parties and went with a Superhero Theme!

It was so exciting and like always I tried to DIY almost everything!

Well first I found this amazing template for an invitation: 

Super Hero Invite

We inserted them inside a small mailing packet with TOP SECRET printed on them! I wish I would have photographed them because I must say I was very proud of myself with that concept! 

We asked for all the kids to come dressed up as their favorite superheroes and asked the parents to come as villains!

We had a craft station that included different sized capes along with felt to cut out shapes, letters, or symbols. We also had foam glitter stars that had adhesive already.

We also had different colored felt masks. I found a template online for the masks: Superhero Mask Template

My little guy didn't want to wear his Iron Man costume and went for a Hulk Shirt! 

My mom went to Progreso and bought some ceramic characters and i used a paper plate and tissue paper to spice up the centerpiece! 

We went with burgers and hot dogs for the food and super hero cupcakes for dessert! 

For party favors, I ordered super hero tote bags from Oriental Trading! 

Overall, the party was a success and I can't wait for the next one which is in just a few months! 

I am doing two parties this year! Ninja Turtles and Mickey Mouse! Wish me luck!

::Baby Boys::

I spent today taking out all of Jonathon's baby items that I kept for the next one and it brought me to tears! They were tears of happiness and sadness. Happiness cause my new little one is going to be wearing all the stuff Jonathon wore and then sad because time has just flown by and my little one is no longer a little one. I cant believe he is going to start school when Anthony is 8 months. I just think its mind blowing that such a small thing can grow up to be so big and so smart in such a small amount of time. 


Next week is my next check up and finally another sonogram. I can't wait to see this little munchkin again! Its been almost 4 1/2 months since my last time I saw him. My lack of sleep is also catching up with me and I am becoming such a grumpy person. I dont like it cause I snap at Jonathon and I feel bad. I'm easily annoyed by anything and him running around yelling and throwing everything in sight has got me on the edge of a breakdown.


I think we are all ready for Anthony to come out, especially me! Others say that this pregnancy flew by but for me it felt like forever at times! Especially, when I got super sick and literally wanted to die. Sunday marks 34 weeks meaning I only have 5 weeks left for sure it could be less. And the fact that I have an event every Saturday until New Years means that time will only be on hyper speed! By the time I know it its going to be time. 


Im really dreading the recovery of the surgery. Last time around the first few days were horrible. I was so sick and in so much pain I felt like a horrible mother cause I couldnt even feed my own child. I hope since my body has already been through it once it wont be as hard this time. Im still debating whether I want to stay with my mom or in laws or just stay home when I get out. The only thing is that I will most likely be alone anywhere I go so its going to be hard. I just hope Rick can get some time off that first week to help me. 


If you've never experienced a C-Section, then you have no idea what I am talking about. It feels like your insides are going to rip apart with every movement you make. Its no walk in the park and as much as I tried to do a VBAC it didn't work. 


Well, as I sit and wait for this little peanut to make his presence I will enjoy Jonathon as much as I can and remind him that mommy loves him and always will.

::Jonathon's 4th Birthday Party::

December 3, 2011 marked the 4th birthday party of Jonathon. We went with the Carnival Theme and it was a success.

We used everyday items for the booths and kept it on a great budget seeing as the little one is soon to join our every growing family.

The shirts were purchased at Target and the ribbon was from Wal-Mart. The ribbon was attached with fabric glue. They were a big hit!

The booths were very simple. We had Duck Pond, Ring Toss, Balloon Darts, Bean Bag Toss. The ducks I found at an Import Store a pack of 3 for 1.50. The bottles we used for the ring toss were old Coca Cola Bottles and the Rings were actually Shower Curtain rings bought at Dollar Tree for 1.00. We bought a sheet of plywood and had it cut into a small section then we blew up balloons with a piece of paper inside that said how many tickets would be won and attached them to the plywood board. We used steel tip darts which I found at Wal-Mart (3 for 1.97). For the Bean Bag Toss, we used the piece of plywood and found a picture online of a lion then we just drew it onto the board leaving a hole for the bean bags. The bean bags were just a piece of fabric with beans inside.

Food was easy: Nachos, Hot Cheetos w/Cheese, Popcorn, Cotton Candy, Hot Dogs, and Sno-Cones.
Dessert: Popcorn looking Cupcakes and Clown Cupcakes

Popcorn Cupcakes: marshmallows with slits then squished to give it the popcorn look then a bit of yellow food coloring for the effect of butter.

Clown Cupcakes: Sugar cones for the hats and food coloring for the icing to make the face and hair

They were both a huge success!

We charged tickets for the food to get the kids to play the games.

In the end, the party was a success! And the kids all had fun!
